Our chimes and birdhouses are handcrafted by a number of different family workshops and co-operatives on the islands of Indonesia. All the chimes and birdhouses are made using locally sourced bamboo, coconut shell and various straws and grasses.  All our chimes are made using nylon twine for extended outdoor life!

What is fair trade and how does it help the community BAFTS We are proud members of BAFTS. The basic concept of "fair trade" is to guarantee a minimum price paid to the artisans we work with, all our products are hand made and hand painted by our artisans. we adhere to the 10 principles of Fair Trade set out by the World Fair Trade Organisation, and we are working on becoming a member of the WFTO For artisans and workers, the standards include protection of workers' rights and the environment, for companies they include the payment of the Fairtrade Minimum Price and an additional Fairtrade Premium to invest in business or community projects of the community's choice. We are accredited and very proud members of BAFTS (The British Association for Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers).
